Why do you guys always post OpenStreetMap URLs with “edit”? This would be simpler: https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=18/-14.66903/-75.22582

Without having to click through this alert window “make sure your JOSM remote control is working” etc.

How old are those tiles by Stamen Design? Because in my home town, they’re showing a blatant error that was once present in OpenStreetMap and in GeoNames, but has been fixed many years ago.

(It’s showing “Nysa Zamłynie” as a town on its own; actually Zamłynie is just a neighbourhood in Nysa)

When planning to go to a completely unmapped area, it’s good to edit it beforehand - tracing just the roads from aerial imagery. This way you get a bit better prepared for further surveying on site.
